I grew up in a small town, born and raised in Westerly, Rhode Island. Growing up there, I learned firsthand what it means to foster a community and understand the elements that make an area desirable. As a gay man, I've always valued inclusive and welcoming environments, which further fuels my appreciation for strong community bonds.
My education began with a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Law from Bryant University. Following that, I moved to Washington, D.C. for graduate school, attending American University where I earned a Master's degree in Political Science. I'm currently 25 years old, and since moving down to the DC area in 2022, I've loved the idea of living in Gaithersburg. Since having moved here, I truly love what the community has to offer, from its parks to recreational activities and more.
I've always had a passion to serve the public, a drive that has manifested in various roles throughout my career. In my hometown of Westerly, I had the opportunity to serve on the economic development commission. During my time there, I helped foster a comprehensive study of our town's major economic corridor and was involved in helping spur growth and development related to 21st-century IT needs, such as fiber optic internet deployment. As a commissioner, I actively encouraged our Town Council to adopt policies that created developments. My passion for service also led me to time in the State Department and even running for State Representative in Rhode Island.
Now, having made my home in Gaithersburg, I am passionate about giving back to this community that offers me the ability to grow and that I have come to deeply appreciate. I am eager to apply my experiences in community building, economic development, and public service to contribute positively to Gaithersburg's future.
